Erie Insurance sells auto, home and business insurance through our network of independent agents in 12 states and the District of Columbia. Hughson & Benson Associates was established in 1933 in Oneonta, New York, and now has an agency office in Roxbury, New York. The agency offers all lines of property and casualty insurance.

Principal agent Dan Root has over 19 years of insurance experience. Dan says: “I come from an insurance family; my father was a territory manager and my mother was a senior liability claims examiner.” He and his 16-agent staff understand that customers are the base of the agency and they treat them with the same respect they give to one another.
